Many producer use music software such as logic or cubase to help mix and record. Music Producers may also be resonsible for the end mastering of a project.
Music producers can be brought in to work on a single or a complete album project depending on the Music Artist concerned. Some Music producers work in a particular genre but many are happy to work across different projects and style of music. In the distant past Music producers were often tied or contracted to the major record labels. These days there are many more freelance producers who are self employed or are Music Producers along another job sometimes unrelated to the music industry.
