Emotional Cripples?

I remember seeing a Madonna documentary once and her saying that all artists are emotional cripples.

Yes I know that sounds harsh but I do see where she is coming from.  I think the term I would use is tourtured souls.  I see and have met many talented and creative people and we all seem to be broken in some way.  Maybe we are control freaks or have emotional issues?  A lot of us cannot be in a normal job or seem to hold down relationships.

 I know for me the only time I feel truely happy is when I am writing so I cannot wait to get started on a second album. Stay strong everyone xxx
